Notes of Reference
I have just begun to collect notes of reference. More are to come. Here is one from a client I served while I was still a senior student in Miami:
“Through my pregnancy and birth of our first daughter, Leigh was our guardian angel. I am convinced there is no better way to describe her level of commitment to us and our wishes and well being. From our first meeting at natural childbirth classes at Miami Maternity Center which she taught, to prenatal appointments, we felt growing connection with Leigh, as well as confidence that she was the person we wanted to assist in the birth of our daughter. Later we learned that Leigh posesses not only skill, knowledge and professional intuition that are a must for a midwife, she is also completely commited to her clients, and about all, she has utmost faith in natural childbirth. She is a midwife in the best sense of this word. Leigh respected our wishes and did her part to make sure we had a childbirth we wanted, all the while watching out for us and our baby. I had absolute trust and felt safe with her during my pregnancy and birth. We had incredible experience with both, for a big part of which we credit Leigh.. Our only regret is that she lives too far from us now to assist us in the birth of our next child!”
